This daredevil football trickster took the beautiful game to new heights when he performed a series of impressive tricks 600ft above the ground.
In the remote fields of Inskip, Lancashire, world-record winning football freestyler John Farnworth is attempting his most daring performance yet, as he begins the mammoth climb up the massive mast.
Sat atop the prominent pylon, with a distant Manchester providing the backdrop, John tentatively begins to juggle the ball with his right-foot, as he attempts to get accustom to the blistering winds.
Before long, the veteran performer, who showcases his skills on his YouTube page ‘JohnFarnworthTV’, is in full flow, rolling the ball from his shin to his knee, before balancing it on the tip of his toe.
The mesmerizing movement continues with seamless fluidity, with John remaining completely unfazed by the daunting drop below, before standing up and staring out at the serenity of his surroundings.
Delighted with the outcome, John, who has been football freestyling for 13 years, said: “I’ve always wanted to take my work to the next level, and climbing a six-hundred-foot mast to do keepie-ups seemed the perfect way to do it.
“The wind made it a lot tough than it would usually be, I had to have a complete focus on what I was doing.
“I really didn’t know what to expect, but I’m really happy with how everything turned out.
“It was such an incredible feeling to be suspended that high in the air, with nothing but me and the ball.
“This was more of a personal challenge than anything else, to test my resolve.
“But they’ll be plenty more stunts and challenges posted to my YouTube page soon.”
