At a square of Anhui Province in China, a few disabled teenagers gathered for a special live broadcast. One of them is Yang Li, a pretty girl without arms, but with an inspiring story that turns her into an internet sensation with 900,000 fans. Countless spectators stopped by to watch them.
On a certain day in October, 1993, almost 4-year old Yang Li was playing with her friends at home, when she accidently touched a high-voltage cable. She was seriously injured, and her two arms needed amputation. Despite the hardships, she studied hard and got into Anhui Agricultural University in 2007 with 514 points. Now, graduated from university, she works as a clerk.
No arms, no problem! With all these years of training, Yang Li’s legs are as flexible and versatile as our arms. She can handle most of the things in life with her legs, for example, using the smartphone and communicating with friends on WeChat. She can even hold a brush with her foot to practice calligraphy.
