As laboring is proven to be one of the most painful experience a woman can possibly have, pregnant women can be forgiven for accusing their husbands of not understanding how disturbing bearing a baby in the womb can be.
But what if they fill in their other-half’s shoes and try being kicked in the balls? A social media group “The Hambone Group” has recently uploaded a video that experiments women’s reaction to testicular pain.
In the video, volunteers are attached with electric lining on their spine, abdomen and groin to receive electric shocks that activate the nociceptors to send the “ball pain” signals to their brains. The four volunteers, including mothers, asserted their confidence believing ball pain is not even comparable to labor pain.
Their bold assertion, however, immediately turned into wail and gasp as the electric shocks started to bite gradually. They all collapsed lying on the ground howling, sobbing, swearing, vomiting, or simply twisting the body as they lost their voice because of the horrible pain.
By the end of the video, every participant flipped, saying “I can’t believe how men can take it” or “it’s almost as painful as laboring”. The video soon went viral on the internet. Seeing women experience the pain of being kicked in the balls, many men leave their comments: “Now you know you should protect our balls!”, “It’s painful enough just looking at it” and “Apparently men and women can’t share one another’s pain.”
