A video from CCTV captured a coyote attacked a little terrier in Northfield, just above Chicago, on Wednesday morning when the terrier just walked out the door.

The coyote ran quickly across a few house and seemed scared by the terrier, named Boozer. It stopped for a second and then attacked Boozer.

Boozer was saved by the neighbor of its owner, Vicky Dinges. It got hurt with a bloody eye, a deep gash in his head and other injuries.

"He was shaking, I was shaking," Dinges said. "It could have been so much worse"

The surveillance camera outside Dinges family captured the attack, which was less than one minutes.

After watching the video, Chris Anchor, chief wildlife biologist of the Forest Preserve District of Cook County, described the incident a "defensive attack."

"If the coyote had wanted to kill that small dog, the dog would have been dead within seconds," he said.
