53-year-old former supermodel Elle Macpherson, despite giving birth to two children, still keeps a curvy youthful body that makes you jealous! Her secret to defy age is simple – to drink a glass of hot water with lemon to kick start her day.
Macpherson reveals that she follows a strict regulated diet and will never miss her gym class and skincare daily routine that keeps her body and appearance a perfect condition in and out.
Aside from a glass of hot water with lemon, she drinks also organic vegetable juices and consumes a mix of greens every day to absorb different kinds of nutrients from the vegetables. “For example, kale is a good source of iron and calcium, while broccoli, sprouts, cabbage and spinach are high in vitamin C as well as vitamin A which are essential for healthy skin, hair and nails,” she explains.
Macpherson also does eat red meats and consumes animal proteins only from fish. “Sardines are a good choice because they are packed full of those wonderful omega 3 fatty acids,” she reveals.
To take a break from the dull boring diet, Macpherson treats herself with healthy snacks. “Sometimes it’s a smoothie made with hemp milk, half an avocado and one scoop of Nourishing Protein Chocolate. If I want something hot, I’ll have a couple of poached eggs or a chia pudding soaked in almond milk.”
