Watching hundreds of baby funnel web spiders running out an egg will be a horrible nightmare. However, it is an amusement in a local institution, Australian Reptile Park, where staffs use venom of funnel web spiders to make antitoxic serum.

Lately, some staffs cut open an egg sack of funnel web spiders and hundreds of baby spiders crawled out of it. This scene was quite astonishing.

According to the director of the park, Kane Christensen, the venom of this kind of spiders is very fatal and they only use the venom of female funnel web spiders to make fun. He said young funnel web spiders would be kept in the park until their mature period and then used for making antitoxic serum.
