Toddler left terminally ill grandpa and devastated mom days after dressed as Belle

"And though she be but little, she is fierce." the heartbroken mother mourned.

A family from USA's Florida has endured double grief as five-year-old granddaughter Braylynn Lawhon suffered brain cancer and grandfather Sean Peterson had bone marrow cancer, both terminally ill.

The wrenching photo, showing Peterson wailing beside granddaughter's hospital bed, touched so many people.

But the sad news still came. The little girl's mother Ally Parker announced her death January 15. She wrote on social media: 'Our sweet Braylynn, our warrior princess, earned her sparkly pink angel wings this evening. Her nickname was Princess Bel and she could light up any room. She loved Hello Kitty and her birthday was December 10.She was a princess with the strength of a warrior and she will NEVER be forgotten.'

Just days before her death, Braylynn's nurse dressed her as Belle from 'Beauty and the Beast'. Braylynn slept in bed so peacefully, like a lost angel.

Now, the family is collecting funding to raise money for funeral and to help other families subject to the same cruel disease. 'We need this cruel disease called DIPG to stop taking our children away from us!' wrote Parker.
