The dogs are found extremely staving when they were rummaging for food in the garden while there are only littered rubbish bags, debris and harmful objects. Bennett said she was "too busy" looking after her children to take care of her dog as well.

Animal charity RSPCA has once visited the family but found no one at home. Returning later that day, Bennett opened the door and said her husband had taken the puppies away.

"They ran into the garden and started rooting around in the rubbish bags," Mr Price said. "They appeared immediately to the inspector to be ravenous and desperate to find something to eat and drink."

After the examination of a vet, it's suggested that the puppies were living in their faeces and urine.

Prosecutor Roger Price said, "The inspector went into the back garden and was immediately hit by a very offensive smell."

"She saw three adult dogs, which were in good condition."

The inspector soon found the puppies sobbing behind the doors and four scampered out.
