On 14 March, an aircraft of Emirates numbered EK-731 was scheduled to fly from Uganda to Dubai. On the flight, an airline stewardess was suspected of opening the cabin door and jumped off of the plane which was 18 meters high from the ground and fell on the apron.

Some passengers said that the stewardess was talking with her colleague at the time. She took an object looked like a glass bottle in her hand. Suddenly, she turned to the hatch door, opened the door and jumped off the plane.
Witnesses said, after falling on the ground, her legs were badly broken and knees were badly mutilated, a lot of blood was flowing out of her mouth and nose, many parts of her body were cut by broken glass.

The United Arab Emirates and the Uganda Civil Aviation Bureau issued a statement respectively and promised to investigate the accident. Both sides have not announced the reason for the stewardess's death. They said only one employee opened the emergency hatch fell on the ground unfortunately and said that they had sent the stewardess to the hospital in time.
