Outrage mounted among Syrian people over Israel's repeated strikes against the country, decrying the attacks as "barbaric acts of aggression" that have killed innocent civilians and hindered Syria's development.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense said on Friday that Israel launched missile strikes targeting Syria's air defense sites in the southern region at about 02:55 local time.

"Israel's airraids are absolutely destructive. We and the international community strongly condemn such actions," said Syrian civilian Abeer.

Firas, another Syrian citizen, condemned Israel's previous attack on the consular section of the Iranian Embassy in Syria.

"It was utterly irrational and unjustified. It violated principles of international law and the United Nations Charter. It was an extremely barbaric act of aggression that also killed innocent Syrian civilians," said Firas.

Riman, a Syrian civilian, highlighted the destructive effects of Israel's frequent airstrikes.

"Israel's frequent airstrikes have not only damaged our economy but also killed and injured our people, affecting our country's development," she said.

Issam, another Syrian citizen, emphasized the importance of unity in countering Israel's escalating actions.

"We must get united and work together to stop Israel's escalating actions," said Issam.

As of Thursday, the exhibition in the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou had attracted 234,000 overseas exhibitors from 215 countries and regions, a 25-percent-increase from the previous edition.

The 135th session of the Canton Fair runs from April 15 to May 5 in three five-day phases.

Themed as "A Better Life," the third phase of the 135th session of China Import and Export Fair, or Canton Fair, started on Wednesday, focusing on trendy household goods and daily essentials.

A total of 21 exhibition zones in five major categories have been in place, which display commodities including toys, baby and maternity products, household textiles, stationery and health and leisure items.

Launched in 1957 and held twice a year, the Canton Fair is considered a major bellwether for China's foreign trade.
