Thunderstorm, gale-force winds and hailstorm lashed Guangzhou City in south China on Saturday, with hailstones in many parts of its Zengcheng District measuring five centimeters in diameter.
As cumulonimbus clouds gradually moved pass the urban area, the city lifted its rainstorm, thunderstorm and hail warnings by Saturday night.
The thunderstorm, strong winds and hailstones disrupted a dozen electricity supply lines of the city. Workers had repaired the nine of the lines in emergency, and resumed 90 percent of power supply as of Sunday.
Guangzhou on Sunday sustained its level-four thunderstorm emergency response that was activated on Friday.
