China Documentary Festival launched in Budapest

A screening event jointly sponsored by China Media Group (CMG) and Hungary's ATV Magyarorszag was launched in Budapest on Monday.

During the China Documentary Festival, a series of film and television works produced by CMG on a developing China and the friendly exchanges between the Chinese and Hungarian people will be aired in Hungary, demonstrating the vision of mutual understanding and win-win cooperation between the two countries.

CMG President Shen Haixiong, former Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Medgyessy, Chinese Ambassador to Hungary Gong Tao, and ATV Magyarorszag CEO Tamas Kovacs delivered speeches via video link on the occasion, respectively, highlighting the role of cultural exchanges in bilateral ties and expressing hope for a stronger friendship between the two nations.

The festival is among a wide array of events and activities held by the two sides this year to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between China and Hungary.

The event will run about two weeks.

China's national industry-financing cooperation platform has helped Chinese enterprises raise more than 830 billion yuan of funds since it was launched three years ago, said China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) on Wednesday.

The non-profit public service platform is based on the data resources of the MIIT and related units and has attracted over 29,000 companies and more than 2,400 financing institutions.

As one of a series of national financial policy measures rolled out by the country to support the real economy, it aims to establish a cooperation mechanism for coordination among sci-tech, industry and finance sectors to help promote the deep integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation.

At an event marking the third anniversary of the platform, Xin Guobin, vice minister of industry and information technology, said that the project is an innovative exploration of industry-financing cooperation.

"We will further establish and optimize information sharing mechanisms among the sci-tech, industry, and finance sectors. We will make good use of viable data including the Industrial Internet and intelligent algorithm model to empower businesses such as enterprise credit rating, credit financing pricing, financial product innovation and supply chain finance, so as to constantly improve the quality and efficiency of financial services to the real economy," said Xin.
