Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic plans to present locally produced wine to Chinese President Xi Jinping, who is scheduled to attend a welcome banquet during his upcoming state visit to Serbia.

At the invitation of President Vucic, President Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Serbia, eight years after his last visit to the European country.

In an interview with China Central Television (CCTV) on Tuesday, Vucic said that Serbian food and locally produced wine will be served at the banquet.

"There will be Serbian food, and I'll serve one special bottle of wine to President Xi, because I will present Serbian wine. And I believe now we have this free trade agreement, and every single year it will go minus 20 percent, these custom fees, which means within five years we have to pay no fees in order to export our wine to China. Our wine is not cheap, but it is not that expensive as it is, lets say in France, Italy and some other countries. But price performance speaking, it's good. And I would like to present some very good wines," he said.

He also highlighted that he will personally serve wine to President Xi, instead of having waiters do it.

"There are two actually indigenous varieties of Serbian grapes, which is grasac and prokupac. But there are some international grape varieties that I would suggest as well. But the President will choose. I'll serve everything. Not the waiters, not the protocol guys. I'm going to serve him this wine. I believe he's going to like it," Vucic said.

South Korean tourists visiting China surge 608 pct year on year in May

South Korean tourist arrivals in China rose more than six times year on year in May, according to data released by a major South Korean travel agency.

Zhangjiajie, Hangzhou and Guilin are among the most popular group tour destinations and Changbai Mountain in Jilin has also become a hot spot for South Korean mountaineering enthusiasts.

As the summer vacation approaches, tourism products for trips to China's Hainan and Inner Mongolia in July have been fully booked, according to data from the travel agency. In Seoul, a travel operator has offered three giant panda-themed tour packages, since Fu Bao, the first giant panda born in South Korea, left South Korea for China early last month.

The tour packages, which cover visits to two to three giant panda conservation bases and Sichuan cuisine tours, are priced at somewhere between 4,000 yuan (about 553.7 U.S. dollars) and 7,200 yuan (about 996.7 U.S. dollars) per person, which is still warmly welcomed among tourists.

"A month ago, we launched the 'Giant Panda Tour' packages in China's Sichuan Province, which enables tourists to have a close look at the pandas. By now, we have received about 800 reservations. The sales of the giant panda-themed packages increased by 200 percent year on year in the past month, compared with other Chinese tourism products," said Pang Chi-yeong, head of the China business division of a travel agency in Seoul.

Apart from introducing tailored tourism products for trips to China, South Korean major airlines have expanded routes to and from China.

For example, Korean Air has recently resumed flights from Incheon to Zhangjiajie and Zhengzhou, while Asiana Airlines is set to resume flights from Incheon to Chongqing and Xi'an starting later this month.
