The Wuzhishan City Li and Miao Children's Chorus from China's southern Hainan Province visited the headquarters of the China Media Group (CMG) in Beijing after a successful tour in France.

At the headquarters, the chorus members, who wore traditional dress from their Li and Miao ethnic groups, were given a tour of the newsrooms and studios of the country's largest broadcaster.

"I feel very happy; it feels magnificent. It's my first time coming to such a tall building," said a member of the Chorus.

The Chorus flew to France earlier this month and performed at multiple events. During their trip, the young members got to meet children of their age in France.

"They asked us – what's your favorite food? What's your name? What's the most interesting thing you've ever done?" said a member of the Chorus.

With this year marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France, as well as the China-France Year of Cultural Tourism, cross-border interactions like this have further strengthened people-to-people exchanges and celebrated global cultural diversity.

"We went there as friendly ambassadors for the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and France. We not only experienced French civilization, but also gave France a taste of Chinese culture," said Liu Min, conductor of the Wuzhishan City Li and Miao Children's Chorus.

Angola's Luachimo Hydroelectric Power Station, built by China Gezhouba Group Co., Ltd., was officially completed in the Lunda Norte Province of Angola last Friday, with more than 150 people including Minister of Energy and Water of Angola, Joao Baptista Borges, attending its inauguration ceremony.

On that day, Joao Baptista Borges personally pressed the main button for the operation of the generating unit and fully affirmed the construction level and quality of the project. He said that the Chinese-built hydropower station plays an important role in promoting the energy transformation and the development of agriculture, livestock, as well as mining sectors in the country.

The hydropower plant is a livelihood project in response to the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative, and it is also an important component of the power supply system in the Lunda Norte Province. It has created a total of 3,000 direct employment opportunities for the local community and benefits nearly 200,000 residents.
