The scroll of “A Thousand Miles of Mountains and Rivers” by Wang Ximeng (1096-1119) stands among the 10 most treasured ancient Chinese paintings.

It will be the centerpiece of the museum’s annual exhibition which, this year, has the theme of “blue-green landscape paintings,” an ancient Chinese ink painting style.

The exhibition, which opens on Friday, will be run until December 14.
