A Peruvian archaeologist has discovered five pairs of thousand-year-old mummies in a cave, each of them has three fingers and three toes. The discovery has sent shock waves across the archaeological world, but a cloud of doubt still hangs over the authenticity of these mysterious mummies.
Five pairs of mummies dated 1700 years ago were unearthed in a cave in Nazca, Peru. These mummies have body ratio similar to that of modern human beings, but oddly enough, each one of them only has three fingers and three toes. This has aroused widespread suspicions and skepticism, some even say those mummies are nothing more than imitation mockups.
Faced with the barrage of questions and doubts, bone specialist Edson Vivanco still holds true to his belief that those five mummies dug up from the ground are real, but they may not be remains of human beings. It is manifestly difficult to create skulls of this level of sophistication, and there is no evidence so far to back up the claim that those mummies are fake, he added.
But what are these mummies if not human remains? Professor of St. Petersburg State University Konstantin Korotkov cared to venture a guess, and claimed that those mummies are remains of another breed of creature, a human-like creature.
