Python swallowed a 35kg goat but later died of indigestion

Villagers in Wenchang County in southern China's Hainan Province surrounded a python that swallowed a 35kg goat.

A local forestry protection agency was called, but the snake later died.

Agency officers said it was hard for the python to digest the goat, which was twice its weight.

The goat’s sharp horns may have punctured one of the snake’s internal organs.
