"mother bears like to teach their young how to survive - such as how to protect themselves in this way, so there's no need to worry."
A funny moment a grumpy bear mother punching her cub and flighting with it has been captured by a visitor of the zoo, the Kumamoto City Zoological and Botanical Gardens, on Japan's south-western Kyushu island.
The video taken by Tomoko in April 2016, which was posted to her Twitter this week, shows the two bears, the mother and its cub, are standing to wave at the visitor at the beginning.
But then, the mother bear suddenly turns her body towards her cub and punches it in the face. She then holds her cubs on her hands and spins her around on her body.
According to local media, mother bears like to teach their young how to survive - such as how to protect themselves in this way, so there's no need to worry.
