Some criticised the event would bring up crimes, saying "Actions need to be taken by racecourses across the country, to stop the drink and drug culture at meetings."

A terrifying moment that a racegoer punched another to the ground and brutally kicked him in the head during Goodwood’s season opener on Saturday has been captured and put on Youtube.

The video shows the carouser kicking the man's head as some others can be seen punching each other.

Three people were sent to hospital after a man collapsed on the lawn behind the stands at the West Sussex racecourse’s Gordon Enclosure.

The men were taken to Chichester's St Richard’s Hospital with "minor injuries", while six others needed medical treatment after their fight following the sixth race at around 4.25pm yesterday.

According to a statement from the racecourse, they said, "Goodwood racecourse was informed of a disturbance during this (7 May) afternoon's racing. The incident was dealt with by on-event security and Sussex Police were notified as a precaution.

They also apologised to all racegoers who were affected by that incident.

Goodwood Racecourse's general manager Alex Eade told the publication, "‘I was right there where the incident happened and there were many security guards but they wear suits, so they look like customers.

"That’s something we're looking to review."

BALTIMORE (AP) — Benches and bullpens emptied in the top of the sixth inning of Friday night's game between the Brewers and Orioles when Baltimore catcher James McCann came face to face with Willy Adames as the Milwaukee infielder came to bat.

It wasn't clear what the two were discussing, but players from both teams quickly rushed the field, although no real fighting took place.

Milwaukee led 9-1 at the time and had hit three home runs, including one by Adames an inning earlier.
