Jaguars will be without 3 defensive starters at Chargers

The Jacksonville Jaguars will be without three defensive starters against the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, more injury woes for a unit that has allowed at least 30 points in five consecutive losses.

Coach Doug Marrone ruled out linebacker Myles Jack (ankle) and safety Jarrod Wilson (hamstring) on Friday. Neither will make the cross-country trip. The team placed defensive tackle Abry Jones (ankle) on injured reserve a day earlier, meaning he will miss at least the next three games.

Jack and Wilson aggravated injuries in last week's loss to Detroit. Jack missed one game earlier this month, and Wilson spent three weeks on IR.

Linebacker Dakota Allen and safety Brandon Watson, both in their second seasons, will start in place of Jack and Wilson. Rookie DaVon Hamilton will fill in for Jones for the second straight week.

Oft-injured tight end Tyler Eifert (neck) also was ruled out, and starting right guard A.J. Cann (shoulder) was listed as questionable.

Defensive end Josh Allen (knee) will return after missing the last two games.
