Wei Xiaoyuan of Guangxi won the women's uneven bars event with a personal best score of 14.900 points at the 2020 Chinese Artistic Gymnastics Championships here on Saturday.

The 17-year-old gymnast bagged a gold and a silver on Friday. Tang Xijing, who had fewer difficulty points, took the silver medal with 14.633 points. Wang Jingying from Beijing finished third with 14.500 points.

"I adjusted myself and had a short break after finishing the competitions in September. I feel better and I'd like to practise more difficult moves in the upcoming winter training session, in order to be more competitive in 2021," Wei told Xinhua.

In the women's vault event, Qi Qi from Beijing, who had taken fifth place in the 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships' vault event, snatched gold with 13.933.

"Considering the cold weather and the condition of equipment on the court, I reduced my difficulty level in today's event, and I performed at my normal level," Qi said.

Wu Ziyue from Henan suffered a head injury during her first vault, but a Henan official said later that Wu's injury was not serious after receiving medical attention.

Su Weide, who won the men's floor exercise preliminary, suffered a similar fate to Wu in the final. The men's floor exercise final went to Chen Feng from Hubei (14.466) in a surprise result.

In the other individual apparatus event finals staged on Saturday, Wang Junwen won the men's pommel horse competition with 14.766 points, and Lan Xingyu from Guangxi stood atop the podium in the men's rings event with 14.733 points.

The tournament ends on Sunday.
