Humanitarian agencies are facing challenges in delivering enough aid to people in the Gaza Strip, according to a report released on Friday by the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA).

The volume of aid entering Gaza sees no significant improvement in April. On average, 181 aid trucks are crossing into Gaza per day, far from meeting the estimated need of at least 500 truckloads of supplies required to adequately address the humanitarian crisis in the region, said the report.

The agency also said that since the outbreak of the conflict in October last year, most of the trucks used for transporting supplies in Gaza have been damaged, which has severely limited the availability of vehicles and slowed down the overall aid delivery process.

The safety of aid workers in the region has been another major concern. A total of 178 UNRWA workers have been killed since the conflict began, the highest number of aid workers killed in any conflict, according to the agency.

The agency also noted that access limitation imposed by Israeli authorities and difficulties on the ground are hindering the process.

Visiting museums during the five-day Labor Day holiday has become a new trend for Chinese tourists to admire traditional Chinese culture.

Statistics from the National Cultural Heritage Administration suggest that the first three days of the holiday saw over 6,000 museums and 55 national archaeological parks around the country receive nearly 40 million visitors, the highest number in history for the same period.

The attractions boasting cultural heritage of the revolutionary times have also received record high numbers of tourists during the five-day holiday.

For example, the Jinggang Mountains in east China's Jiangxi Province was the "cradle of the Chinese revolution". The place received nearly 140,000 visitors during the first three days of the holiday, generating a total revenue of over 66 million yuan (about 9.12 million U.S. dollars), up 41.14 percent and 44.13 percent year on year respectively.

The Temple and Cemetery of Confucius and the Kong Family Mansion in Qufu, a city in east China's Shandong Province, have received over 200,000 visitors, up 27.6 percent year on year.
