Crowds were captivated by the parade which set off from Pak Tai Temple Playground in the afternoon, with children balancing on poles dressed in colourful costumes along with lion dancers.

Some of the creative costumes featured Hong Kong's top athletes, including fencer Edgar Cheung and swimmer Siobhan Haughey, as well as historical figures, fairytale characters or police officers promoting anti-scam messages.
