Australian wingsuiter Tahi Munroe won the air racing title in 24.703 seconds at the tenth World Wingsuit League (WWL) Wingsuit World Championship held at Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park in central China's Hunan Province on Wednesday.
The four-day competition held its finals on Wednesday, with the final eight competitors jumping in turns from the nearly 1,400-meter-high mountain. In the round, the vertical distance between the takeoff and landing points was 990 meters, and the straight-line distance through the air was about 1.3 kilometers.
After two intense rounds of competition, Munroe delivered a flawless performance, securing the championship with an impressive time of 24.703 seconds.
The champion expressed appreciation for the opportunity to compete amid the stunning scenery of the park, noting that the enthusiasm of the crowd brought him great joy.
"This is a very special place. We have hundreds, even thousands of people watching, so it's a very cool place, very unique. I'm very happy, this has been a dream over a decade to come and compete here, and finally I'm here. I managed to win, so it's a dream come true," Munroe said.

The remains of Wu Bangguo, former chairman of the National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, were cremated in Beijing on Monday.
Xi Jinping, Zhao Leji, Wang Huning, Cai Qi, Ding Xuexiang, Li Xi, Han Zheng and other leaders paid their final respects to Wu at the Babaoshan Revolutionary Cemetery. Hu Jintao sent a wreath to express his condolences over Wu's passing.
Wu died of illness in Beijing on Oct. 8 at the age of 84.
Wu had served as a member of the Political Bureau and a member of the Secretariat of the 14th Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, a member of the Political Bureau of the 15th CPC Central Committee, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the 16th and 17th CPC Central Committees, vice premier of the State Council, and chairman of the Standing Committee of the 10th and 11th NPCs.
An obituary, jointly issued by the CPC Central Committee, the NPC Standing Committee, the State Council and the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference later on Oct. 8, extolled Wu as an excellent Party member, a time-tested and loyal communist soldier and an outstanding proletarian revolutionary, statesman and leader of the Party and the state.
