Northeast China's Liaoning Province has been enchanting tourists from across the country with over 100 ice-and-snow theme parks, providing a mix of excitement and winter chill.
At an ice-and-snow carnival park in Fushun City, a 300-meter-long ice slide and a 10,000-square-meter snow rink create a true winter wonderland for fun.
Huludao City offers unique entertainment such as lantern festivals and folk customs performances where people dressed in cotton-padded jackets with red-and-green floral patterns typical in the region, giving tourists fresh and exciting experiences.
In Shenyang, the provincial capital, many ice-and-snow theme parks have undergone upgrades, enhancing entertainment facilities and the overall park environment, drawing in tourists from across the country.
"I've been looking forward to this trip, and now I am very excited seeing my kid having such a great time," said Liu Yun, a tourist from Jiangsu.
"I think the flight from Shanghai is very convenient, taking just less than three hours. The timing is also perfect, allowing us to come here after work. It is not as cold as we imagined, and we actually feel hot while playing," said Wu Yan, a tourist from Shanghai.
"This year, we have increased the number of ice-and-snow theme parks and enhanced their quality. For example, we have created more dreamy and trendy attractions to draw in more young people," said Liu Shu, an official from the Liaoning Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
Some parks also offer discounts such as family tickets, which has helped boost consumption in local dining, equipment rentals and other related industries.
