China is willing to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with Bolivia and elevate their strategic partnership to a new height, Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Tuesday when meeting with Bolivian Foreign Minister Celinda Sosa Lunda at the United Nations headquarters.
This year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bolivia and the 200th anniversary of Bolivia's independence, said Wang.
Standing at a new historical starting point, China is willing to work with Bolivia to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation and take the China-Bolivia strategic partnership to a new height, Wang said.
Wang also congratulated Bolivia on becoming a BRICS partner country, saying that China supports Bolivia to play a bigger role in regional and international affairs.
Sosa said that Bolivia and China are good brothers and partners, and have enormous cooperation potential to tap into.
Bolivia welcomes China to increase investment for mutual benefits and win-win outcomes, and appreciates China's strong support in enhancing its own capacity for development and international influence, said Sosa.
Sosa also said that China has been a diplomatic priority for Bolivia, and Bolivia will firmly adhere to the one-China principle.
