China-Europe Railway Express (Xiamen), the first international railway express in China that starts from a Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ), recorded tripled January to February departures compared to the previous year.
According to Xiamen customs, over the first two month of 2025, a total of 33 trains of China-Europe Railway Express (Xiamen) departed from the Pilot FTZ of Xiamen City in east China's Fujian Province.
Since launched into service in 2015, China-Europe Railway Express (Xiamen) has recorded 1,369 train departures, transporting around 118,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEUs) of cargo with a total value of over 35 billion yuan (about 4.8 billion U.S. dollars).
