China's top-tier logistics companies have exceed 10,000 in number, according to a report released Thursday by the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP).

These companies, which lead the industry in business performance, infrastructure, information technology, and management services, play an important role in supporting the economy and serving the public.

The report indicates that 10,797 logistics companies in China have so far qualified for top-tier status. These firms cover high value-added sectors such as e-commerce, pharmaceuticals, and automotive parts. Among them, 520 have reached the highest 5A level, representing the best of China's domestic logistics development.

"This achievement marks a new level of standardization, regulation, and professionalism in China's logistics industry. From quantitative growth to qualitative leap, logistics assessment is steering the sector toward a new phase of high-quality development," said CFLP's vice president Yang Guodong at the report release event on Thursday.

Logistics assessment is a comprehensive evaluation system based on national standards and industry norms, covering service capability, management quality, and technological facilities of logistics companies.

Over the past 20 years, the CFLP has established a three-dimensional assessment system that includes standard setting, process control, and quality supervision.

Power outage hits London Underground as lines suspended

2025-05-13 12:33 Last Updated At:13:07

A power outage struck the London Underground, causing widespread travel disruptions across the capital on Monday afternoon, Transport for London (TfL) confirmed.

TfL said the issues had been caused by a short power outage which happened at about 14:30 local time, leaving some passengers potentially stranded in train carriages within tunnels.

Power has since been restored, but delays and suspensions in major lines are ongoing, according to TfL.

By Monday evening, services on the London Underground began to gradually resume following the incident. The UK National Grid attributed the disruption to a "cable fault" on the transmission network in central London.

"I was working overtime until 6:00 [p.m.], and then because of the problems on the district line as well, it meant that I had to do a half an hour extra of overtime in order to make sure I could get back home. It seems like it was quite a big incident," said Jack, a resident.

The disruption marks another instance of the UK's transportation infrastructure facing challenges. In late March, London's Heathrow Airport grappled with a closure due to a power outage, resulting in the cancellation of numerous flights and leaving over 200,000 passengers stranded.
