Ahead of the second China-Central Asia Summit, a multinational reporting initiative "Central Asia Expedition," was officially launched on Wednesday in Dushanbe, capital of Tajikistan.
The project has brought together China Global Television Network (CGTN) and five Central Asian state media outlets to document the flourishing cooperation between China and the region on the reporting tour.
The two-week special reporting tour will traverse Central Asia to showcase the achievements and future potential China-Central Asia collaboration across infrastructure, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.
"China is our neighbor, China is our close friend. We have worked together on challenging projects. My wish for this media tour is not only to highlight the results but also to show the potential of our joint cooperation," said Suhrob Nurullo, head of the Investment Department of Ministry of Transport of Tajikistan.
Apart from key projects, this trip will also highlight the spirit of cultural and people-to-people exchanges at the grassroots level.
"I like China best and I also like the Chinese people very much because their culture is very good. I like China and I hope to study in China," said Yosupova Angelina, a Tajik student from Confucius Institute of Tajikistan National University of Nationalities.
The reporting team will travel in China-made new energy vehicles (NEVs).
