Beijing's Shougang Park, set to host the World Table Tennis (WTT) China Smash 2025, is undergoing key upgrades to enhance facilities and services for athletes and spectators.

Scheduled for September 25 to October 5, the top-flight table tennis tournament will feature multiple events, including men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.

To ensure a top-notch experience for participants and viewers alike, the Shougang Ice Hockey Hall, the main venue for the event, will undergo a series of updates and renovations.

"We will introduce an intelligent fitness and rehabilitation zone, open a restaurant offering customized nutritious meals, upgrade the broadcasting with 4K and 8K ultra-high-definition systems, and develop a smart spectator platform," said Zhong Mianmian, deputy head of Shijingshan District People's Government of Beijing Municipality.

Shougang Park previously hosted the thrilling big air events during the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.
