Dialogue among civilizations serves as a bond for peace, a driver for development, and a bridge for friendship. The establishment of the International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations by the United Nations aligns with the universal aspiration of people worldwide to promote dialogue among civilizations and advance human progress, thus winning the unanimous support from all member states, said the Chinese foreign minister.

Wang noted that President Xi Jinping proposed the Global Civilization Initiative, advocating for the promotion of common human values, emphasizing the inheritance and innovation of civilizations, and strengthening international people-to-people exchanges and cooperation. This represents an important effort made by China to promote dialogue among civilizations. China proposes three approaches to advancing dialogue among civilizations.

First, uphold the principle of equality among civilizations. Respect the development paths and social systems independently chosen by the people of all countries, reject the clash of civilizations, oppose interference in internal affairs, resist unilateral bullying, and share equality and dignity.

Second, act as practitioners of exchanges among civilizations. Draw wisdom from dialogue among civilizations to address global challenges and broaden the path to global modernization. China is actively considering hosting the 2028 UN Alliance of Civilizations Global Forum.

Third, serve as promoters of civilization progress. Facilitate the flow of ideas, technologies, and people. Leverage emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence to aid the inheritance and innovation of civilizations, continuously enriching shared material and spiritual wealth.

In 2024, the 78th session of the UN General Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution proposed by China and 82 other countries, designating June 10 each year as the International Day for Dialogue among Civilizations.

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil issued a statement on Saturday, saying that the security alert released by the U.S. Department of State regarding Venezuela is based on false claims that do not exist and is intended to create a perception of risk that is not real.

According to the statement posted on Gil's official X account, Venezuela is currently in a state of absolute calm, peace and stability.

All residential areas, transportation routes, checkpoints and security facilities in the country are functioning normally, and all armed forces nationwide are under the government's control.

The statement came after the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Consular Affairs on Saturday warned that as international flights have resumed, U.S. citizens in Venezuela "should leave the country immediately."
