The Russian military said on Tuesday that Russian forces launched strikes on Ukraine's defense industry facilities and hit all the planned targets, while Ukraine claimed its armed forces hit several Russian military personnel, weapons and equipment concentration areas over the past 24 hours.

The Russian Defense Ministry said in its latest report that Russian forces thwarted multiple attacks from the Ukrainian military in directions such as Sumy and Kharkov in northeastern Ukraine and Donetsk in eastern Ukraine, and launched attacks on temporary deployment sites in 151 areas of the Ukrainian military over the past 24 hours.

Russian forces also destroyed seven base stations for electronic warfare, 12 ammunition depots and a large number of weapons of the Ukrainian military, and Russia's air defense forces shot down two "HIMARS" rockets and 258 fixed-wing unmanned aircraft of the Ukrainian army, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

The Russian Defense Ministry also said that the Russian air defense system intercepted 102 Ukrainian drones from 21:50 on Monday to 05:50 on Tuesday.

In addition, Russia's armed forces carried out strikes on Ukrainian defense industry facilities, command centers and deployment sites, military airport facilities and fuel depots, and all designated targets were successfully hit, it said.

On the same day, the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff reported 174 battles on the front lines over the past 24 hours.

Ukrainian air and artillery units hit 16 Russia's personnel, weapons and miliatry equipment concentration areas, two drone control centers, four artillery systems, and a command post, it said.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's air forces said on Tuesday that Russian forces launched 315 drones and seven missiles against Ukraine since 20:00 on Monday, and Ukrainian air defense forces intercepted 277 Russian drones and seven missiles as of 09:00 on Tuesday.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the capital city of Kiev suffered one of the most intense attacks since the war began more than three years ago, and the cities of Odesa and Chernihiv also suffered heavy bombardment.

On the diplomatic front, Ukraine's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Heorhii Tykhyi said on Tuesday that any preparations for a third round of peace talks with Russia remain premature.

He also said that the two sides currently focus on prisoner exchanges, and the exchange of the bodies of fallen soldiers remains a complex humanitarian issue, but progress is being made.

On the same day, a spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin, Dmitry Peskov, said that Russia had offered to return the bodies of deceased Ukrainian soldiers, but the two sides have not reached final agreement on the terms of the transfer.

The Iranian government is focusing on public concerns and maintaining stable supplies of essential goods amid recent protests, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said in a televised interview on Sunday.

In the city of Karaj, northwest of the capital Tehran, daily life has largely continued as normal. A video filmed by a local resident on Sunday shows food stores open and grocery shelves fully stocked.

"This is the block near my home, and there are some food stores here. Daily life continues here. Last night we did not see many protests in Karaj. Right now the city is very safe. This is a grocery store close to my home. All the food is available; nothing is in shortage. Here are noodles and different types of beans. Here are dairy products, cheese, and yogurt. I also checked other grocery stores and didn't see any shortages. Everything is available," said local resident Ali Reza.

Iranian officials have described recent disturbances as acts orchestrated by the "enemy," including some carried out by well-trained and armed "terrorists." The incidents have caused casualties among security personnel and civilians, as well as property damage.

The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Ali Larijani has directed authorities to severely punish the "terrorists."

Meanwhile, Iran's police chief Ahmad-Reza Radan said on Sunday that the police had raised alert levels and arrested several leaders of the troublemakers during the operations on Saturday.

President Pezeshkian noted in the interview that the normal demands of the Iranian people are reasonable and justified, but they must realize that triggering riots and carrying out terrorist acts are the enemy's attempts to undermine the country. He urged the public to remain vigilant.

Also on Sunday, Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf warned that Tehran would regard U.S. and Israeli bases and facilities in the Middle East as "legitimate targets" if Washington takes military action against Iran. His remarks followed media reports saying U.S. President Donald Trump is "seriously considering authorizing a strike" against Iran.

Iranian state media reported that at least 109 members of Iran's security forces have been killed in clashes since the protests began 14 days ago. Meanwhile, human rights groups based outside the country said the number of protesters killed has exceeded 200, though the figure could not be independently verified.

The protests initially erupted over a sharp depreciation of the rial and sweeping subsidy reforms. Iranian authorities have blamed the unrest on foreign-linked agents and sanctions imposed by the United States.
