China's high-end, intelligent and green development of industry has been steadily advanced, and industrial production has showed strong resilience and growth potential in May, said a spokesman for the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Monday.

Fu Linghui, the NBS spokesman, said that the year-on-year growth rate of added value of equipment manufacturing and high-tech manufacturing above designated size continued to out-pace that of industrial enterprises above designated size in May.

The key industries of equipment manufacturing grew rapidly. In May, the added value of the automotive manufacturing industry and the computer, communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry increased by 11.6 percent and 10.2 percent, respectively.

The output of hi-tech products has grown rapidly. In May, the output of 3D printing devices and integrated circuits increased by 40 percent and 11.5 percent, separately.

"In May, the added value of digital product manufacturing increased 9.1 percent, significantly higher than the growth rate of all industrial enterprises above designated size. The integration of scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation is accelerating, and the demand for intelligent products has significantly expanded, driving the rapid growth of production. In May, the value added in the manufacturing of intelligent unmanned aerial vehicles and intelligent vehicle-mounted devices increased by 85.9 percent and 29.5 percent, respectively," said Fu.

Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yvan Gil issued a statement on Saturday, saying that the security alert released by the U.S. Department of State regarding Venezuela is based on false claims that do not exist and is intended to create a perception of risk that is not real.

According to the statement posted on Gil's official X account, Venezuela is currently in a state of absolute calm, peace and stability.

All residential areas, transportation routes, checkpoints and security facilities in the country are functioning normally, and all armed forces nationwide are under the government's control.

The statement came after the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Consular Affairs on Saturday warned that as international flights have resumed, U.S. citizens in Venezuela "should leave the country immediately."
