Russia claims strikes on Ukrainian military targets; Ukraine reports repelling attacks

Russia announced successful strikes on Ukrainian military industrial facilities and Ukraine reported the repulsion of Russian offensives, according to the official briefings of the two countries released on Thursday.

Russian Defense Ministry said Russian forces have controlled the settlements of Razino in Donetsk and Melovoye in Kharkov over the past day.

The troops carried out strikes against Ukrainian military-industrial enterprises, attack drone assembly workshop and storage facilities, and stationing area of HIMARS rocket launchers, the ministry reported.

Russian air defense systems intercepted and shot down smart bombs and over 100 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the past day, the ministry said.

A Ukrainian seaborne drone in the Black Sea was destroyed, it added.

The ministry also confirmed that Mikhail Gudkov, deputy head of the Russian Navy, was killed in a combat mission in a border area of the Kursk Region on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian air force, missile, and artillery units struck concentrations of Russian personnel, weaponry, and military equipment over the past 24 hours.

Ukrainian forces claimed to have repelled Russian attacks in several directions, destroying Russian tanks, armored fighting vehicles, and artillery systems.

Furthermore, the Security Service of Ukraine declared success of drone attack on Russian ammunition depots in Donetsk on Wednesday evening.

The death toll in the war-torn Gaza Strip has risen to 71,412 since the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted on Oct 7, 2023, with the number of injuries reaching 171,314, Gaza's health authorities said on Sunday.

In the last 48 hours, hospitals in Gaza received three bodies along with nine new injuries, according to health authorities.

Since the ceasefire agreement took effect on Oct 11, 2025, Israeli attacks have killed 442 people and wounded 1,236 others, said the authorities.
