“This is a unique opportunity,” said Chaparro. “In a region where new development approvals are rare, Ridgeview in San Marcos offers one of the few remaining large-lot, single-family detached home communities near the coast.” The homes combine rural serenity with easy access to nearby freeways, rail lines, and urban amenities. Each property is situated on a quiet cul-de-sac, offering scenic mountain and ocean views. “KB Home offers an exceptional value, with recent pricing improvements and only five homes remaining.”

Designed with both luxury and sustainability in mind, Ridgeview homes are ENERGY STAR® certified, which delivers significant savings on utility bills. These features include paid solar, tankless water heaters, advanced HVAC systems, and an innovative thermal enclosure system combined with low-E dual glazed windows. Fire safety is also a key feature, with Ridgeview encircled by a fire suppression zone and equipped with concrete tile roofs and recessed whole-house fire sprinklers.

“These homes are not only energy-efficient but also health-conscious,” Chaparro noted, highlighting KB Home’s antimicrobial hardware and enhanced ventilation systems that improve indoor air quality. Blending high-performance construction with upscale finishes, the homes feature quartz countertops, expansive retractable glass doors, nine-foot ceilings, and spa-inspired primary suites.

Home to Cal State San Marcos University, Palomar College and the San Marcos Medical Center, San Marcos has been a leading city in responsible growth and redevelopment, including North City and Restaurant Row, offering new and vibrant community amenities, all just minutes away from Ridgeview. The prime location also allows easy access to Orange and LA County commuters.

KB Home has earned consistent recognition for innovation and sustainability, including 14 consecutive ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year awards and inclusion since 2022 on Fortune magazine’s World’s Most Admired Companies, and Newsweek’s Most Trustworthy Companies in the US. It should also be noted that KB Home has always sustained important relationships with the traditional brokerage community and their clients, regardless of market conditions.

Chaparro emphasized the benefits of her firm's collaboration with KB Home: “Our marketing reach allows for greater flexibility in negotiations, including special financing options and bridge loans for equity-rich buyers. We have a worldwide referral network, an unsurpassed reputation and an expansive marketing presence, offering a customized program for builders that best fits their needs…along with absorbing most upfront marketing costs. Our goal is to provide a seamless experience for both buyers and builders, while bringing a broader awareness to the public and brokerage community.”

Chaparro, a Broker Associate and Southern California residential specialist since 1984, holds the NAHB Certified New Home Sales Professional (CSP) designation and she is a long-standing member of the Building Industry Association, along with the New Homes and Luxury Divisions of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties. A Ukrainian drone strike killed one person and wounded three others in the Russian city of Voronezh, local officials said Sunday.

A young woman died overnight in a hospital intensive care unit after debris from a drone fell on a house during the attack on Saturday, regional Gov. Alexander Gusev said on Telegram.

Three other people were wounded and more than 10 apartment buildings, private houses and a high school were damaged, he said, adding that air defenses shot down 17 drones over Voronezh. The city is home to just over 1 million people and lies some 250 kilometers (155 miles) from the Ukrainian border.

The attack came the day after Russia bombarded Ukraine with hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles overnight into Friday, killing at least four people in the capital Kyiv, according to Ukrainian officials.

For only the second time in the nearly four-year war, Russia used a powerful new hypersonic missile that struck western Ukraine in a clear warning to Kyiv and NATO.

The intense barrage and the launch of the nuclear-capable Oreshnik missile followed reports of major progress in talks between Ukraine and its allies on how to defend the country from further aggression by Moscow if a U.S.-led peace deal is struck.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Saturday in his nightly address that Ukrainian negotiators “continue to communicate with the American side.”

Chief negotiator Rustem Umerov was in contact with U.S. partners Saturday, he said.

Separately, Ukraine’s General Staff said Russia targeted Ukraine with 154 drones overnight into Sunday and 125 were shot down.
