More than 6,000 agreements and cooperation intentions were reached during the five-day third China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), official data showed Sunday.
A total of 1,200 Chinese and foreign enterprises and institutions participated in this edition of expo. The number of online and offline visitors exceeded 210,000, up by five percent from the previous year.
In addition, 152 new products, technologies and services made their debut at the event, up 67 percent year on year, while exhibitors established cooperative links with 42,000 upstream and downstream enterprises.
According to incomplete statistics, more than 6,000 cooperation agreements were signed and cooperation intentions reached on site.
"We do not pursue short-term on-site transaction volume, but place more emphasis on promoting long-term mutually beneficial cooperation. This year, we innovatively optimized the evaluation system for the CISCE, further highlighting assistance to exhibitors and professional visitors in 'finding friends, partners, solutions, and application scenarios," said Li Xingqian, vice chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, at a press conference after the conclusion of the expo.
Since its inception, the proportion of overseas exhibitors at the expo has increased year by year - from 26 percent in the first edition, to 32 percent in the second, and rising to 35 percent in the current edition.
Among them, Fortune Global 500 and leading industry enterprises accounted for over 65 percent, and the coverage of exhibitors expanded from 55 countries and regions in the first edition to 75 this year.
Meanwhile, a large number of enterprises from the United States, the European Union, and Japan actively participated.
"The CISCE visually demonstrates China's complete supply chain system and strong production and innovation capacity. China holds an important position in global industrial and supply chains - without linking with China, it is difficult to link with the world," said Li.
Additionally, 102 companies and institutions have already signed up for next year's fourth edition of the expo, marking a 50 percent increase in on-site signings compared with last year.
Themed "Connecting the World for a Shared Future", the expo ran from July 16 to 20 in Beijing.
