Peru held a grand parade in Lima to commemorate the 204th anniversary of its independence in the capital city of Lima on Tuesday.
Preluded by cultural performances and the appearance of civilian delegations, the parade officially kicked off with phalanxes from the Peruvian Army, Navy, and Air Forces, with the National Police marching in succession. Firefighters, medical workers, and representatives from various government departments also joined the parade in formations.
The nearly four-hour-long event drew tens of thousands of spectators from across the country.
Peruvian President Dina Boluarte attended the parade.
