The local government is taking good care of those villagers relocated to a middle school with comfortable shelter, adequate daily necessities and medical care after severe rainstorms caused widespread flooding and damage in Xinglong County, north China's Hebei Province.

Currently, residents from several severely affected villages in the county have been relocated to Xinglong County No. 2 Middle School. The resettlement site is equipped with clean bedding, ample mineral water, and a medical team to assist them. Meals are provided regularly, with staff delivering food directly to the villagers' dormitories.

"The living conditions here are really good. We have plenty of food, water, milk, and instant noodles. We've been well taken care of," said Cao Shouzhong, a relocated villager.

Yan Yu, a village doctor in Liudaogou Village, has been making house calls daily since the flood, trudging through muddy roads to deliver medicine and provide medical care.

The village clinic suffered severe damage in the disaster, and with roads cut off, outside medical supplies cannot get in. In response, the villagers have been sharing their own medications, while Yan has contributed his personal stock of reserved medicine.

"These are hard times for all of us, and we're all neighbors. I'm simply doing my small part so we can overcome these difficulties together," said Yan.

"I can't walk, and I rely on this diabetes medicine. When our village doctor knew about it, he brought it to me," said Wang Fengrong, a local villager.
