The exhibition commemorating the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War attracted more than 300,000 visitor trips since it was opened to the public over a month ago, its organizers said.

Themed "For National Liberation and World Peace," the exhibition features 1,525 photos and 3,237 artifacts across an area of 12,200 square meters at the Museum of the War of Chinese People's Resistance Against Japanese Aggression in Beijing, capital of China.

Among the exhibits are more than 100 first-grade cultural relics, including letters from General Zuo Quan and study notes by General Li Tianyou from the Frunze Military Academy, attracting a number of visitors.

"Our forebears sacrificed everything for the peace we enjoy today, so that we can chase our dream without any disturbance. We must honor forebears through our actions, especially by excelling in our studies to serve the nation," said Yue Yiqun, a student from Beijing Institute of Petrochemical Technology.

General Zuo Quan served as deputy chief of staff of the Eighth Route Army, and he was killed in action in 1942, the highest-ranking commander of the armed forces led by the Communist Party of China who lost his life during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression.

General Li Tianyou served successively as deputy commander-in-chief of the 13th Army Corps, deputy chief of the general staff of PLA and member of the National Defense Commission.
