The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Monday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased 0.07 percent to 97.707 at 15:00. (1900 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro added to 1.1708 dollars from 1.1699 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound was up to 1.3544 dollars from 1.3510 dollars in the previous session.

The U.S. dollar bought 147.22 Japanese yen, higher than 147.02 Japanese yen in the previous session. The U.S. dollar rose to 0.8010 Swiss francs from 0.8001 Swiss francs, and it was up to 1.3752 Canadian dollars from 1.3728 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar fell to 9.3916 Swedish kronor from 9.4643 Swedish kronor.
