China is willing to work with Kazakhstan to advance the China-Kazakhstan permanent comprehensive strategic partnership to a higher level and inject more stability and certainty into global peace and development, Chinese Vice Premier Ding Xuexiang said Tuesday in Beijing.

Ding, also a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the eighth meeting of the China-Kazakhstan Entrepreneurs Committee.

China and Kazakhstan should discover more converging interests, actively explore new cooperation models, and jointly build a China-Kazakhstan community with a shared future that is more substantive and dynamic, Ding said.

Ding called for further strengthening alignment of development strategies, enhancing connectivity, deepening trade and investment cooperation, and promoting people-to-people exchanges.

The business community is a vital force in promoting practical cooperation between China and Kazakhstan, Ding said, urging enterprises on both sides to make good use of the committee to contribute more to bilateral cooperation.

When delivering a speech at the ceremony, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed support for the Belt and Road cooperation and said the country is ready to deepen practical cooperation with China in transportation and logistics, energy, manufacturing, digital economy and other fields.

Nearly 500 representatives from government departments, business associations, and enterprises of both countries attended the meeting.

Prior to the opening ceremony, Ding and Tokayev posed for photos with representatives of enterprises participating in the China–Kazakhstan Business Council.

The UN must resolutely defend the victorious outcomes of World War II and reject any attempt to revive militarism, said China's Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Sun Lei on Thursday.

Sun made the remarks to the UN General Assembly (UNGA), following UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres who addressed the meeting on priorities for 2026.

Guterres emphasized the three principles that guide the world body's work in 2026: adherence to the UN Charter, peace with justice -- peace between nations and peace with nature, and unity in an age of division.

All nations must resolutely uphold the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, said Sun.

"The UN must resolutely defend the victorious outcomes of World War II and uphold the post-war international order, firmly oppose unilateralism and hegemony, and reject any attempt to revive militarism," he said.

The Chinese envoy said countries must advance the three pillars in a balanced manner.

"Peace and security, development, and human rights are mutually reinforcing, and none should be neglected," he said.

He also stressed reforming and improving global governance.

"China will work with all parties to firmly support multilateralism and the international system with the UN at its core, maintain peace, promote development, and advance the building of a community with a shared future for humanity," said Sun.
