Chinese Vice President Han Zheng on Tuesday met with Myanmar's Prime Minister U Nyo Saw in Nanning City, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

U Nyo Saw is in Nanning to attend the 22nd China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit scheduled to start on Wednesday.

In their meeting, Han noted that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Myanmar.

Not long ago, Chinese President Xi Jinping held a fruitful meeting with Myanmar's Acting President Min Aung Hlaing and reached important consensus with him, charting the course for the development of bilateral relations, said the vice president.

Han said China is willing to work with Myanmar to implement the important consensus and deepen the building of the China-Myanmar community with a shared future.

China supports Myanmar in safeguarding national stability and sovereign independence and steadily advancing its domestic political agenda, he said.

Han expressed the hope that Myanmar can intensify its efforts to combat cross-border crimes and ensure the safety and security of Chinese personnel, institutions and projects in Myanmar and the China-Myanmar border.

U Nyo Saw said Myanmar appreciates China for its timely and valuable assistance to the earthquake-stricken areas in the country.

He said Myanmar supports China's Global Governance Initiative and adheres to the one-China principle.

Myanmar is willing to work with China to deepen high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, combat cross-border crimes and advance the building of the community with a shared future between the two countries, said the prime minister.
