The Palestinian death toll in the Gaza Strip has risen to 66,225, with 168,938 others injured since the conflict between Hamas and Israel erupted on October 7, 2023, Gaza's health authorities said in a statement on Thursday.
Israeli military operations in Gaza over the past 24 hours have killed 77 Palestinians and injured 222 others, the health authorities said in the statement.
Among the casualties, two people were killed and 44 others wounded while waiting for aid distribution.
Since Israel resumed full-scale military operations in Gaza on March 18 this year after a brief ceasefire, 13,357 Palestinians have been killed and 56,897 injured, the authorities said.
