Chinese people started their eight-day National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday on Wednesday with a good variety of vibrant activities, enjoying great entertainment amid a festive atmosphere.

The lantern parade held in Sinan County of southwest China's Guizhou Province featured rhythmic dance performed by over 10,000 lantern lovers dressed in colorful attire, sending auspicious greetings to spectators.

In a trendy digital street of Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province, tourists had the opportunity to interact with humanoid robots and robot dogs.

The fireworks display held in Nanchang City, east China's Jiangxi Province, was accompanied by a drone show, warming up the festive atmosphere for excited spectators.

A similar drone show was also held in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality to celebrate China's National Day.

The Chinese capital Beijing held a traditional Chinese music concert for tourists by the Grand Canal, where there is also a market for travelers to buy cultural and creative products and specialties.

A special eight-day concert was held near Shanghai's mother river, the Huangpu, attracting numerous young people to the music stage well integrated with market fairs.

A fireworks display held over Hong Kong's Victoria Harbor showcased images of the giant panda, fascinating local residents and tourists alike.

In Macao, a fireworks show was also held near the region's landmarks, accompanied by the city's typical song known throughout China to celebrate the National Day.
