China's electronic information manufacturing sector posted rapid production growth in the first three quarters of 2025, with stable exports and steady profit expansion, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The value-added industrial output of major companies in the sector rose 10.9 percent year on year in the nine-month period, which was 4.7 percentage points higher than that of the overall industrial sector, indicating a positive general development trend for the industry, the ministry said.

In the first nine months, the combined operating revenue of the electronic information manufacturing sector's major firms rose 8.8 percent year on year to 12.5 trillion yuan (about 1.76 trillion U.S. dollars), and the combined profits of these companies increased by 12 percent year on year.

In terms of exports, the cumulative delivery value of major players of the sector grew by 2.1 percent year on year, indicating that the core competitiveness of China's electronic information manufacturing industry continued to strengthen.

Major companies in the sector are those each with an annual main-business revenue of at least 20 million yuan (2.8 million U.S. dollars).

Since the beginning of this year, China has accelerated its strategic planning for development of the information industry centered on electronic information manufacturing. From smart terminals to core components, the sector has maintained a robust growth momentum while continuously strengthening its foundational capabilities.

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi has described his visit to China as highly significant and productive, with the two sides holding in-depth talks on bilateral relations and all the pressing issues Iran currently faces.

Araghchi, who visited China on Wednesday and held talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, said in an interview with Iranian state-run IRIB news agency that post-war Iran is entering a new phase of international cooperation.

"Our Chinese friends also believe that Iran after the war is different from Iran before the war, that it has proven its capabilities and strength. Therefore, a new phase of cooperation between Iran and other countries lies ahead," he said.

The foreign minister said the two sides reviewed a full range of current issues and yielded fruitful results.

"We reviewed all the current issues, matters related to the war and how to end it, the negotiations currently under way, issues related to Iran's nuclear program and the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear activities, matters related to sanctions, and all bilateral issues. The issue of the Strait of Hormuz, which was one of our serious topics, and the necessity of respecting the rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran, along with all existing viewpoints, were also discussed," he said.
