China's top political advisor Wang Huning expressed China's willingness to strengthen alignment of development strategies with Indonesia during his official visit to the country from Wednesday to Thursday at the invitation of Ahmad Muzani, chairman of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) of Indonesia.

Wang, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met separately in Jakarta with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto, Speaker of the House of Representatives Puan Maharani, Speaker of the Regional Representative Council Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin, and held talks with Muzani.

During his meeting with Prabowo, Wang said that China is ready to work with Indonesia to implement the important consensus reached between the two heads of state, and jointly pursue modernization paths suited to their respective national conditions so as to contribute more to world peace, stability and prosperity.

Prabowo said that Indonesia sincerely admires China for its remarkable development achievements and is willing to learn from China's successful experience as it pursues an independent development path suited to its own national conditions.

Noting that Indonesia reaffirms its commitment to the one-China principle and that Taiwan is part of China, he said Indonesia is confident about the prospects of bilateral relations and stands ready to consolidate the sound momentum of their development and work toward an even higher level of comprehensive strategic partnership.

During his talks with Muzani, Wang said that over the 75 years since the establishment of diplomatic ties, China-Indonesia relations have achieved substantial progress.

Wang noted that the CPPCC stands ready to deepen exchanges and mutual learning with the MPR, so as to better serve their respective modernization endeavors and the building of a China-Indonesia community with a shared future.

Muzani spoke highly of the fruitful cooperation between the two countries across various fields, adding that the MPR is willing to strengthen exchanges with the CPPCC, act on the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, and contribute to the development of bilateral relations. During his meetings with Puan and Najamudin, Wang said that China is ready to work with Indonesia to further elevate bilateral friendship, mutual trust, and strategic cooperation to new levels, so as to better benefit the two peoples.

Puan and Najamudin noted that the friendship between the two countries has deep historical roots and that China is an important strategic partner for Indonesia. In recent years, bilateral relations have made substantial progress and brought tangible benefits to both peoples.

Indonesia highly appreciates and actively supports China's Belt and Road Initiative. The House of Representatives and the Regional Representative Council stand ready to continue playing a positive role in deepening mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, said the two officials.

During the visit, Wang also briefed the Indonesian side on the outcomes of the fourth plenary session of the 20th Communist Party of China Central Committee, saying that China stands ready to advance the alignment between Chinese modernization and the Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision and to further promote practical cooperation between the two countries.

China holds a core and dominant position in global offshore wind power production capacity, according to a report released Thursday at the 22nd World Wind Energy Conference and the 3rd Shantou International Wind Power Technology Innovation Conference in Shantou City, south China's Guangdong Province.

The report indicates that suppliers within the global wind power industrial chain are primarily concentrated across three major regions: Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Americas.

In terms of production capacity distribution, the Asia-Pacific region maintains its position as the world's largest hub for wind turbine assembly and key component manufacturing, leveraging its comprehensive industrial ecosystem. China and India dominate onshore wind power production capacity, while China serves as the core center for offshore wind power capacity, said the report.

Stefan Gsanger, secretary general of the World Wind Energy Association (WWEA), hailed China's market scale and technological development for wind power. "General wind power is around 1.2 terawatts now of installed capacity worldwide, out of which offshore wind is around 83 gigawatts. China is by far the largest market, offshore and onshore. It's a stable market. There is a very strong supply chain here in China. Technology-wise, China is a leading country now," he said.

Gsanger also underscored the great potential for China's wind power export.

"China has just started to export wind turbines. I think there is a big potential because many markets, many countries need to buy the equipment, and that is a great opportunity now for the Chinese wind industry," said the secretary general.

The report predicts that by 2030, most countries will face capacity bottlenecks in both onshore and offshore wind power supply, but China is not among them.

Data indicates that China's wind power industry is accelerating its expansion overseas.

"Over the past few years, China's wind power exports have accelerated at a rapid pace, achieving a compound annual growth rate exceeding 50 percent. To date, we have cumulatively exported wind turbines with a total capacity exceeding 20 million kilowatts, reaching 57 countries and regions worldwide," said Qin Haiyan, secretary general of the Chinese Wind Energy Association.
