China is committed to maintaining the safety and stability of global industrial and supply chains, He Yongqian, spokeswoman for the Ministry of Commerce, said at a press conference in Beijing on Thursday.
She made the remarks in response to a media query on whether China will relax controls on rare-earth magnet export to the United States.
"As I have repeatedly emphasized, China is always committed to safeguarding the security and stability of global industrial and supply chains, and actively promotes and facilitates compliant trade," said He.

It is extremely dangerous that Japan is accelerating the weaponization and militarization of space and fueling a space arms race, Zhang Xiaogang, spokesman for the Ministry of National Defense, said at a press conference in Beijing on Thursday.
Zhang made the remarks in response to a media query about Japan's claims to have made substantive progress in technologies that could disrupt satellites of other nations.
Japan also reportedly plans to reorganize its Air Self-Defense Force into the Air and Space Self-Defense Force and to construct a spacecraft carrier in fiscal year 2026.
Some media analyses suggest that vigilance is needed, as Japan may be planning a Pearl Harbor incident in space.
"It concerns all countries' security, development, and prosperity to maintain lasting peace and security in space. Japan's unrestrained development of satellite-jamming technology is accelerating the weaponization and militarization of space and fueling a space arms race. It is extremely dangerous and unpopular," Zhang noted.
"Given that Japan's vicious militarists once launched sneak attacks and that the country is now taking an offensive space policy, it is hardly surprising that there are growing concerns of another Pearl Harbor scenario in space," he said.
