Dialogue and negotiations are the only viable way out for the Ukraine crisis, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said at a press briefing in Beijing on Tuesday.

Lin made the comments while taking a media query on Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov's remarks that Moscow does not intend to withdraw from negotiations with the United States on ending the Ukraine crisis despite Ukraine's attempts to attack President Vladimir Putin's residence.

"Dialogue and negotiations are the only feasible way out of the Ukraine crisis. We urge all the parties involved to uphold the three principles of no expansion of the battlefield, no escalation of the fighting, and no provocation by any party, so as to promote the de-escalation of the situation and accumulate conditions for a political resolution of the crisis," said the spokesman
