Appointments to Youth Square Management Advisory Committee

The Home and Youth Affairs Bureau (HYAB) announced today (December 31) the reappointment of two incumbent members and the appointment of two new members to the Youth Square Management Advisory Committee (MAC) for a two-year term from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2027.

The Chairperson and non-official members of the MAC are as follows:

The MAC also includes representatives from the HYAB, the Education Bureau and the Leisure and Cultural Services Department as members.

A spokesman for the HYAB thanked the outgoing members, Mr Victor Lam Tsz-hung and Mr Jan Noel Shih, for their support and contributions since their appointment to the MAC.

The MAC is a non-statutory advisory body which advises the Government on matters pertaining to the operation of Youth Square, including the overall strategy and objectives of Youth Square; themes and contents of youth development programmes; the use, allocation, leasing and charging arrangements of relevant facilities; the evaluation of the effectiveness of the use of Youth Square in promoting youth development programmes and monitoring the performance of the operator.

Appointments to Constitution and Basic Law Promotion Steering Committee announced

The Government today (December 31) announced the appointment of six new members and the reappointment of seven incumbent members to the Constitution and Basic Law Promotion Steering Committee (CBLPSC) for a term of two years with effect from January 1, 2026.

The seven reappointed incumbent members are MrDavis Chan Wai-lun, MsVenus Kuk Wing-yee, MrKwok Wing-keung, MrLee Leun-fai, MrPerry Suen Pang, MrAnfield Tam Ching-hin and MrHenry Tong Sau-chai. The new members are MsKatherine Cheung Marn-kay, MsLee Tung, MrRobert Andrew Lui Chi-wang, Ms Pamela Mak Mei-yee, MrIvan Yiu Pang-fai and MrZhang Tao.

The Chief Secretary for Administration and CBLPSC Chairman, MrChan Kwok-Ki, expressed sincere thanks to the outgoing members MsDebbie Cheung Sui-ki, MrStanley Choi Tak-shing, MsFang Xin, MrVincent Lam Tak-hing, MrRex Mok Chung-fai and MrEric Yeung Chuen-sing for their contributions. He also welcomed the six new members and said he looked forward to working with them closely.
