Chinese shares close higher Monday

Chinese stocks closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 1.38 percent to 4,023.42 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 2.24 percent higher at 13,828.63 points.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, gained 2.85 percent to close at 3,294.55 points Monday.

The ChiNext Index, together with the Shenzhen Component Index and other indices, reflects the performance of stocks listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

Chinese shares close higher Monday

Hong Kong's stock market rallied on Tuesday with the benchmark Hang Seng Index up 1.38 percent to close at 26,710.45 points.

The Hang Seng China Enterprises Index rose 1.05 percent to end at 9,244.24 points, and the Hang Seng Tech Index climbed 1.46 percent to end at 5,825.26 points.
